you are right. The $VOLUME macro is not expanded when you are creating snapshots by tag.

This will be fixed in Version 3.1.

I’ve just downloaded version 3, but unfortunately it still doesn’t have the region of my EC2 instance – ap-southeast-1b

Hi Effy, I could reproduce the problem. If you edit an EC2 snapshot job the retention period is not correctly read from the job definition although it is correctly stored. I will fix this in the next version. For the time beeing you have to set the retention period every time you edit a job. The par...
