I'm running a single-instance webserver EC2 and want to backup it up daily. Automaticloud looks perfect for this - except the BackupEC2 job will not run unless I select "stop instance before backup". I don't want to use this option because it'll cause several minutes of downtime every day - and I don't need to capture the transient data that is lost in a live backup.
Right now I am using the evaluation version but I only want to upgrade to the paid version if this is fixed.
If I check "stop instance before backup" and "start instance after backup" everything runs as it should. If I uncheck these 2 boxes, NOTHING happens (I checked the service log and the email notifications to be sure)
Please advise - thanks.
