Hi,
I've been using AutomatiCloud for the last few weeks, and suddenly discovered the retention rate setting doesn't work, and I now have tons of snapshots.
When I start the application, and define the "Delete after - days", it never saves the days number.
When I click on "Update" and re-edit the job, it shows as "-".
Hope this will be fixed soon, as currently this requires me to manually delete old snapshots.
Thanks,
Effy

Re: snapshots not deleted
Hi Effy,
which version are you using?
Is this an EC2 or RDS snapshot job?
Does this also happen with new jobs you create?

Re: snapshots not deleted
Hi Stephan,
This issue started when I used v2.
I upgraded today to v3, and noticed the same issue still exists.
I've also tried re-creating the job, and the new job didn't update this setting as well.
This is an EC2 snapshot job.
Thanks for your help,
Effy

Hi Effy,
this is strange. Can you send me the output of msinfo32.exe by mail.

Re: snapshots not deleted
Hi,
I believe I found the source of the issue.
When I specify the job to backup a specific instance, the delete after parameter is saved just fine.
When I switch to "Tag" it's not being saved.
Co you think this could be fixed for "Tag" based as well?
Thanks,
Effy

Re: snapshots not deleted
Hi Effy,
I could reproduce the problem. If you edit an EC2 snapshot job the retention period is not correctly read from the job definition although it is correctly stored.
I will fix this in the next version.
For the time beeing you have to set the retention period every time you edit a job. The parameter will be stored and will be taken into account during job execution.
