Moving AutomatiCloud to a new Server is a simple process but you have to follow some rules to make sure that all your jobs and settings are moved to the new server.
Upgrade AutomatiCloud to the latest version
Download the latest version. The link you received by mail always points to the latest version of your release.
For example a version 3.1 link points to the latest version of 3.1.x.
For 3.2.x you need to retrieve a new link here.
Stop AutomatiCloud
Close the AutomatiCloud GUI and stop the AutomatiCloud background service ACSVC.
Open the services dialog in Control Panel and locate the AutomatiCloud Service.
Stop the service.
Set the startup mode to “disabled”
Copy Database
AutomatiCloud stores all settings, jobs and logs in one database file called “automaticloud.sqlite”. It is located in
%programdata%\automaticloud
You can enter this in Windows Explorer and will see the database file. Copy the file and store it in a safe place. You will need it later.
Install AutomatiCloud on the new server
Use the setup file you downloaded for the upgrade and install AutomatiCloud on the new server.
Stop AutomatiCloud
Close the AutomatiCloud GUI and stop the AutomatiCloud background service ACSVC.
Copy Database
Copy the database file (automaticloud.sqlite) from the old server to
%programdata%\automaticloud
on the new server.
Start the background service acsvc again.
Open the GUI and check if all your settings and jobs have been moved.
Now you are ready to go on your new server.
